LE FIGARO.- How did the station, where the first cluster in France was detected, cope with the situation?
François Barbier.- The coronavirus appeared in early February in the ski resort.
Back from Singapore, a Briton, who was joining his family living in the village, infected five of his compatriots.
With the help of the State services, and while nothing was known about this virus, our services followed to the letter the instructions of a protocol already in place: to detect, isolate and treat.
As the winter season began with many holidaymakers already present, the epidemic was avoided.

We had against us the easy play on words that we made around the name of the town and what was happening to it: Contaminated Contamines.
Fortunately, this didn't last thanks to the rapid mastery of the cluster, which was soon considered to be an epiphenomenon.
