In recent days, Magen Israel has been working on formulating a new outline that will make it possible to open the education system in orange cities starting next week, based on the rate of those vaccinated in each locality.
The National Program to Fight Corona is examining what percentage of the vaccinated and at what age will be the continuum that will allow them to return to school.
The new outline will try to provide a solution for cities with moderate to severe morbidity, defined as orange.
According to data from the Ministry of Health, 50% of the cities and localities in the country are painted orange.
In any case, the outline does not include red cities, and Magen Israel even warns that opening a red city according to the outline of the rate of vaccinators could be dangerous.

The Corona Cabinet has confirmed that educational institutions will remain closed until Thursday.
According to the proposal that will be submitted today for the approval of the ministers, in two days the studies will be resumed in kindergartens and grades 1-4 in green and yellow localities only - which constitute 25% of the localities in Israel.
This, after several outlines were rejected that would allow the opening of education in red and orange cities.
The outline currently under consideration is expected to provide benefits on the subject of education only.
This is because compared to other industries in the economy, in this industry there is usually no transition between localities that could increase morbidity.
Simulations conducted at the Magen Israel control center examined the rate of vaccination required for safe opening.
In one simulation, the possibility of 70% of vaccinated people over the age of 50 was examined, and in another simulation, the possibility of 90% over the age of 60 and another 50% of teaching staff was examined.
So far, however, they have not been able to formulate the formula that will prevent the increase in morbidity.

Magen Israel admits that they would have preferred not to allow studies in the orange and red cities at all, so the new outline has been examined very carefully.
On the other hand, they understand that there is a chance that the serious morbidity figures in the country will not decrease in the near future and may even increase due to the opening of the economy.
Therefore, the need for a solution for the orange cities became extremely urgent.
The opening of the education system has caused a sharp rise in morbidity at all ages.
Today, returning to school is more problematic because children under the age of 16 are not allowed to get vaccinated and teaching staff have only been vaccinated in low percentages - a figure that increases the risk of increasing morbidity.

The benefit of opening up the education system is intended to incentivize the residents to get vaccinated as well as to encourage the heads of the authorities to act in order to increase the rate of vaccinators in their field.
In recent weeks, there has been a marked slowdown in the number of vaccinated against Corona, despite the removal of the priority and entitlement to vaccinate every citizen over the age of 16.
Along with the decline in demand for vaccines, the increase in morbidity continues.
Data from the Ministry of Health this morning shows that 7,761 human boys were diagnosed in Corona in the past day.
1,710 patients are hospitalized, of whom 306 are respirators and 1,088 are seriously ill.
Currently, 5,192 people have died from the corona virus in Israel, 71 of them in the last day.
