Patrick Balkany was indicted Tuesday for "
abuse of corporate assets
", "
illegal taking of interests
" and "
embezzlement of public funds
" in the investigation of suspicions of fraudulent use of premises belonging to the city of Levallois ( Hauts-de-Seine), the Nanterre public prosecutor's office told AFP, confirming information from

Placed in custody in January, the former deputy-mayor of Levallois-Perret is targeted in a case of "
misappropriation of property from a public deposit
". Between 2008 and 2015, a room located in Levallois-Perret and which was not supposed to be operated, had been rented to various companies. Several people around him have been indicted in this case.
