Iranian President Hassan Rouhani reiterated that the US withdrawal from the nuclear agreement and the European countries ’failure to abide by their pledges made his country reduce its commitment to the agreement.

Iranian News Agency IRNA quoted Rouhani as saying during his meeting with foreign ambassadors to his country on the occasion of the anniversary of the victory of the Iranian Islamic Revolution, "No one has the right at present to expect Iran to take the first step regarding adherence to the obligations stipulated in the nuclear agreement."

The Iranian president pointed out that his country has abided by its commitments regarding the nuclear agreement despite America's withdrawal and the lack of commitment of European countries to it, calling on the group of five plus one countries to fulfill the pledges stipulated in the agreement and abide by them.

In another context, Rouhani stressed his country's support to contribute to making the Middle East a region in which peace and stability prevail, pointing to the sensitive conditions that prevail in the region and their repercussions on the world.

Regarding the spread of the Corona epidemic in the world, Rouhani renewed his condemnation of the continuing unjust and illegal embargo imposed by the previous US administration on the Iranian people, who faced harsh conditions due to their denial of the right to obtain basic medical and therapeutic devices and tools to confront the epidemic, criticizing at the same time the 'new American administration that did not So far, it has taken any initiative in favor of creating conditions and freedom for the Iranian people in this field, which has been able to successfully pass this test.
