The department and town halls have requested it. The Regional Health Agency has given the green light, while the Astra Zeneca vaccine is

Soon the anxieties of the elderly should be able to fly away in Val-de-Marne.

For several days, the department has been campaigning to be able to set up mobile vaccination teams and thus move to the 52 independent residences, medico-social structures controlled by the community.

A project supported by mayors, especially those who do not have a vaccination center on their land.

“We have everything we need to participate, warns Hélène de Comarmond, PS mayor of Cachan.

At the municipal health center, we have a doctor and three nurses.

We just need the vaccines.

Last week, only 75 Cachanais had managed to be immunized.

So much so that mayors are scrambling to find transitional solutions.

At the Maisons-Alfort vaccination center, Olivier Capitanio (LR) played solidarity with his colleagues from Charenton, Joinville and Saint-Maurice.

Special slots have been opened for seniors in these municipalities.

PMI doctors and nurses will be mobilized

But this Monday morning, the departmental council obtained the green light, "in principle", from the Regional Health Agency, announced PCF President Christian Favier on the sidelines of the public session.

"We have been in contact for two weeks with the department, to set up operations to go to and alleviate the travel difficulties for certain audiences", confirms this Monday evening Eric Véchard, departmental director of ARS 94.

So that the doctors and nurses of the SMEs, for example, will be mobilized.

"Within two weeks, we can start," promises the president of the department.

It remains to prioritize those promised to the injection.

For now, it would be the most vulnerable who would benefit.

"We must be fair and also think about the elderly who still live at their home but cannot move," explains Eric Véchard.

Not to mention those who still go under the radar in homes for immigrant workers, emergency accommodation, etc.

5,000 Astra Zeneca doses arrived this weekend

“We want to vaccinate everyone, residents and staff of independent residences, insists Brigitte Jeanvoine, vice-president (PS app).

No one would understand that such and such and such are vaccinated.

But the director of the ARS recalls that "Pfizer vaccines are still running out".

In the next two weeks, the doses are still devoted to the second injection.

In Val-de-Marne 16 to 17% of the 100,000 people aged 75 and over have been vaccinated, according to the ARS on Monday.

And this, while the vaccination campaign will take a new turn.

This weekend, 5,000 doses of the Astra Zeneca vaccine, easier to manage, and designed for caregivers under the age of 65, arrived in the department.

The doses are this time stored in the refrigerators of the intercommunal hospital center of Créteil.

In a few days, 5,000 new doses will arrive.

These grants will make it possible to immunize residents of structures for disabled people (FAM and MAS).
