Nurse Andre, the oldest elderly woman in Europe, and the second oldest person in the world, has recovered from the corona she contracted, the medical staff at St. Catherine Lavour's nursing home reported today (Tuesday).

Andre did not suffer from symptoms as a result of the disease.

After recovering, the 116-year-old sister Andre is expected to celebrate her 117th birthday next week - in a limited setting - after being isolated due to her illness in recent weeks.

Andre, whose name was Lucille Randon before joining the convent to which she has belonged since 1944, was asked if she was afraid after being infected, and replied that she was not afraid and that she was glad she had recovered, but was happy to join her family in the next world.

"I was not afraid because I am not afraid to die," Nurse Andre explained, "I am happy to be here, but I also want to be somewhere else - with my brother and grandparents."

The doctor who treated her said the medical staff believed she had been cured and added: "She is calm and waiting to celebrate her birthday soon, she was lucky".

According to the data, Andre, born in 1904, is the second oldest person in the world, when before her only bought the Japanese tank, which celebrated its 118th birthday earlier this year.

The Reuters network, which reported on Andre's story, added that the 20 oldest people in the world, all women.
