The Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management Department said that three consecutive earthquakes struck Konya Province in central Turkey today, without any reports of casualties or material damage.
The Anatolia News Agency, speaking on behalf of the Turkish regime, quoted the administration as saying in a statement that an earthquake of magnitude 4.7 degrees on the Richter scale hit Tuzlukchu today at a depth of 7 kilometers, followed by a second earthquake of 4 degrees at a depth of 7 kilometers and a third earthquake with a magnitude of 4.1 degrees at a depth of 4.61 kilometers .
An earthquake measuring 4.6 on the Richter scale hit the northeastern city of Kayseri, central Turkey, the day before yesterday, without any reports of casualties or injuries.
