there is the finish line at Les Sables d'Olonne which marks the end of the Vendée Globe.
But for sailors as for boats, there is another important step: the return home, to the port that saw them live, train, prepare for the great adventure.
And the first sailors have thus in recent hours left the port of Sables d'Olonne to return home.
So while Louis Burton's boat left for Saint-Malo and Damien Seguin's for Port-la-Forêt, Charlie Dalin's boat, with the second round-the-world boss on board, returned to Concarneau, this Wednesday afternoon, to the cheers of his supporters.
The circle is really closed for the duo, while four sailors must finish in Les Sables d'Olonne tomorrow Thursday.
Before they also join the (real) house.
And there you go, the duo are back home!
We don't know about you, but it still gives us a little something to see the @VendeeGlobe adventure come to an end!
