The Brazilian Ministry of Health announced that it had registered 59,602 new cases of coronavirus infection, which represents a significant increase in the daily cases index, with 1,330 deaths due to the disease.
Reuters quoted the ministry as saying that the number of recorded infections with Coronavirus infection in the country increased during the past 24 hours by 59602, bringing the total number to 9659167 cases.
The Brazilian Ministry of Health also stated that it had detected 1,330 new deaths resulting from the disease, bringing the death toll from the pandemic in the country to the level of 234,850 people.
Brazil recorded the second largest death toll from the virus in the world after the United States and the third highest number of infections after the United States and India.
