The Dax hospital center is the latest victim in a long series of cyberattacks.
The establishment has been partially paralyzed since Tuesday evening, the victim of a ransomware attack which seriously disrupts its computer system.
The attack "
flattened the computer systems and the hospital telephone, with a clear and obvious endangerment for the care of patients
" indicated the prosecutor of Dax, Rodolphe Jarry, initially seized of the complaint for “
fraudulent access to an automated data processing system
”.
He has since relinquished jurisdiction in favor of the Paris prosecutor's office, which has national jurisdiction over cybercrime.
In 2020, attacks and attempted cyber attacks intensified in France and do not spare healthcare establishments, which have become prime targets and a real priority for the French state.
Fortunately, most fail.
