The study room is open from March 15 to May 20, from 8 to 10 from Monday to May, and closes at 9:30 on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.

It is divided into three periods: morning, lunch, and evening, and there is a 15-minute suspension between each session.

The government stipulates that applicants must be registered readers of public libraries. If the number of applicants exceeds the number of seats, the seats will be allocated by lottery. 95% of the seats will be allocated to the DSE exam, the International General Secondary Education Diploma Examination (IGCSE) or the professional exam. For candidates waiting for the public examination, the remaining 5% will be allocated to other applicants.
