Hong Kong Peiqiao College Shenzhen Longhua Xinyi School, co-organized by Peiqiao Educational Institution and Mainland Xinyi Group, applied to the Shenzhen Municipal Government in March last year. Xinyi Group is responsible for land tendering and construction of school buildings, with an amount of approximately 1.5 to 2 billion yuan; Overseas Chinese are responsible for managing the school, providing teaching, courses, and teacher training.

Peiqiao Xinyi School will be located in Longhua District, Shenzhen, near the Shenzhen High-speed Railway Terminal. It will take about 8 to 10 minutes on foot. The school covers an area of ​​about 45,000 square meters and a building area of ​​about 150,000 to 160,000 square meters.

The school will provide the country's first 12-year school for children of Hong Kong people, and implement the "dual track" system to provide Mainland and Hong Kong primary one to six courses. The school size is expected to be 108 classes with 30 students per class and a total of more than 3,000 students. .

The school uses English as the main language of instruction, and the high school plans to offer a Diploma of Secondary Education course, British GCE, IAL or IFY International Foundation Course.

There is also boarding service in the middle school.

Complete the first phase of the project as soon as September

Wu Yuzhi, the principal of Peiqiao Xinyi School and Dean of Peiqiao School, said that the school project has started and the first phase is expected to be completed in September this year.

He did not disclose the timetable for the completion of the entire school building, but said that even if the school building is behind schedule, the local government will provide temporary school building.

He pointed out that starting from March this year at the earliest, primary one to secondary four students will be enrolled, and school is expected to start in September this year.

The school enrolls students from Hong Kong who work in the Mainland first. However, the ratio of Mainland students to Hong Kong students has not been set, and the actual tuition fee has not been set. However, the target is middle-class families, and it is expected that each term will not exceed 200,000 to 300,000 yuan.

In terms of teachers, Wu Yuzhi said that most of the school’s Hong Kong curriculum will be taught by Hong Kong teachers, and recruitment will start locally later. Hong Kong teachers who go north do not need to hold a mainland teacher license.

Wu Xu pointed out that the school will arrange for some Peiqiao teachers to teach in the new school, including the deputy principal Huang Tengda as the principal of the Hong Kong curriculum.

There is no political subject in the Hong Kong curriculum. Chinese History is a compulsory subject. The curriculum also includes elements of Chinese culture and traditional morality.

Wu pointed out that the courses are "not teachable," but schools in the mainland must abide by mainland policies and regulations.

He said that Yang Runxiong was "very positive" and promised to follow up with the Appraisal Bureau.

He continued that he hopes that the school's Hong Kong curriculum and the qualifications of the teachers in Hong Kong will be formally recognized by the Education Bureau, and he is also seeking subsidies for the education of children of overseas Hong Kong people in primary and secondary schools.
