Iranian President Hassan Rouhani affirmed that the Iranian people confronted and won the economic war imposed on them by the enemies.
In a televised speech marking the 42nd anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution, Rouhani said that the defeat of US President Donald Trump's administration in confronting Iran came because of the resistance and steadfastness of the Iranian people and their government, noting that America's defeat and isolation in the United Nations was an unprecedented event in history.
"We have been going through economic war conditions for three years, and we have scored victories in the face of American pressure," Rouhani said, noting that before Washington's withdrawal from the nuclear deal, Iran recorded the highest percentage of economic growth, which angered the Zionist entity and its allies.
Rouhani explained that despite the embargo measures, we continued to launch and unveil economic and development projects, as the government worked for seven years to deliver gas and potable water and increase electricity capacity to villages across the country. Iran also achieved a revolution in the health field and a boom in the communications sector despite all The pressures reaped $ 30 billion in revenue from non-oil exports.
For his part, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Saeed Khatib Zadeh affirmed that the Islamic Revolution is the fruit of a long and continuous struggle of the Iranian people for independence and dignity.
Khatib Zada posted today on his Twitter page on the occasion of the 42nd anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution: “We have come a long way since then and have achieved great internal and external achievements,” stressing that we will continue and not give up until all the aspirations of the Iranian people are fulfilled.
Motorbikes, bicycles, and personal vehicles marches began today in Tehran and all Iranian cities to celebrate the 42nd anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution. In the capital, the marches took place through 12 paths, all of which gather in Freedom Square, where the ceremony is held every year.
It is noteworthy that on February 10, 1979, the victory of the Islamic Revolution in Iran was declared after the overthrow of the Shah's regime and the establishment of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
