A civilian plane in Saudi Arabia was hit by an attack by Houthi drones from Yemen
The attack caused disruptions at Abha airport, escalating by pro-Iranian Shiite rebels.
According to them, this is a "response to the bombings of the Saudi coalition and the siege."
No casualties were reported.
The coalition promises to respond, given the relentless launches since the Biden administration removed the Houthis from the list of terrorist organizations

The Houthi rebels in Yemen today (Wednesday) attacked an airport in southern Saudi Arabia, causing a fire on a civilian plane that was on the runway, official television reported.
The Al-Ahbaria government channel reported that firefighters gained control of the fire, but did not say if there were any casualties in the attack.
Saudi officials have not yet commented.
The attack threatens to escalate the war of attrition in Yemen, days after the United States decided to remove the Houthis from the list of terrorist organizations and halted support for coalition operations in an attempt to end the conflict.
Since the decision of the Biden administration, the Shiite rebels who control the capital Sanaa and other areas have intensified their attacks on Saudi Arabia.
The pro-Iranian Houthi rebels said they used four armed UAVs to attack the airport in the city of Abha. The airport is seen as a military target, not a civilian one, and
Turkish Colonel al-Maliki, a spokesman for the Saudi coalition, said forces intercepted two UAV bombs fired by the Houthis earlier in the day.
He said the attack was a "systematic and deliberate attempt to harm civilians in southern Saudi Arabia" and a "war crime."
The coalition promised "that it will charge a price from the militia in accordance with international humanitarian law."

After the plane crash, a flight tracking site detected a delay or cancellation of some scheduled takeoffs or landings.
This is the first time the Houthis have been able to hit an airplane at the airport since missile and UAV missiles were launched at the kingdom in 2015, along with hitting military and oil infrastructure facilities. Even reaching as far as Riyadh International Airport, deep inside Saudi Arabia, a thousand kilometers north of the border.
No one was hurt.
The United States, Saudi Arabia and UN experts say Iran has supplied the Shiite rebels with missiles. Tehran denies this.
