The number of new infections with the emerging coronavirus in South Korea today has risen to more than 400.
The South Korean Yonhap News Agency quoted the central headquarters for disaster and safety measures in the country as saying today that "444 new cases were recorded in Corona yesterday, bringing the total number of injuries to 81,930. The country also recorded four new deaths in Corona, bringing the total number of deaths to 1,486 deaths."
South Korea has extended the ban on passenger flights from Britain, which was in effect from December 23 until February 11, to prevent the spread of the mutated strain that was first identified in Britain.
