Santiago Cafiero was clear at the beginning of the government meeting with the union bosses, in the first chapter of the official plan to align prices and wages with the objective of containing inflation.

It happens that the unions, who arrived with some uncertainty about the official proposal, left with the government's promise that
the adjustment in wages will not be the tool to contain inflation

Cafiero and Moroni were surrounded by the Minister of Economy, Martín Guzmán, and the bulk of the economic Cabinet: the Deputy Chief of Cabinet, Cecilia Todesca, Matías Kulfas (Productive Development), the head of the AFIP, Mercedes Marcó del Pont and the president of the Central Bank, Miguel Pesce.
On the union side there were no offenses

Hugo Yasky, from the CTA Workers, and Ricardo Peidró (CTA Autonoma) also joined.

"We did not want to establish objectives but to propose a work methodology and propose an exchange of positions and then try to bring positions closer," official sources explained to this newspaper.
