This is how Mitt Romney fled from the mob on Capitol Hill 0:56
(CNN) -
The second day of the impeachment of former President Donald Trump was dominated by detailed documentation of the events that led to the January 6 insurrection.
Impeachment prosecutors in the House of Representatives released chilling videos, some never seen before, showing various graphic and violent moments of the insurrection.
Here are some key things to know:
Mike Pence was sheltering right next to the Senate compound
Then the vice president was hiding near the Senate compound with attackers looking for him just outside: “When the agitators reached the top of the stairs, they were 30 meters from where the refugee vice president was with his family, and they were only A few feet from one of the doors to this chamber, ”said House impeachment prosecutor Stacey Plaskett.

Speaker of the House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi was completely evacuated
Pelosi was completely taken out of the Capitol compound when agitators expressed their excitement at finding and attacking her.
"They searched for the president in the room and in her office, publicly declared their intention to harm or kill her, ransacked her office and terrorized her staff," said Plaskett, adding "and they did it because Donald Trump sent them on this mission." .
After Pelosi was removed from the floor of the House, "the Capitol police deemed the threat so dangerous that they completely evacuated her from the Capitol complex," Plaskett added.

Agent Eugene Goodman would have saved Mitt Romney's life
Footage from one of the security cameras inside the Capitol showed Goodman directing the Utah Republican out of the way of the agitators.
Romney said the video was "obviously very disturbing" and said he did not know he was so close to the terrorists.
Chuck Schumer and his security team had to flee from the agitators
A new security video from inside the Capitol showed how Schumer, now the Senate Majority Leader, had a 'near mob accident' on January 6, "said impeachment prosecutor Eric Swalwell, while playing back footage from Schumer and his security team evacuating.
The video shows Schumer and his team going up a ramp and then seconds later running down the hall and officers immediately shut the door and "use their bodies to keep them safe," Swalwell said.
An agitator carried a stun gun
Richard Barnett, who was photographed sitting at Pelosi's desk on January 6, was carrying a 950,000-volt "stun gun baton."
Plaskett said: "The weapon could have caused serious pain and incapacitated anyone against whom Barnett had used it," while displaying an enlarged photograph of the device, tucked into his pants.
Plaskett said the FBI later identified the device in the photo.
Republican reaction to videos
While many Republican senators said the video shown was compelling or difficult to watch, some of them claimed that Democrats did not make a convincing argument linking the agitators' actions to Trump.
Not all Republicans agreed.
Sen. John Thune, a member of the Republican leadership, told reporters that he believes the House prosecutors did "an effective job" and are "connecting the dots" between Trump's words and the insurrection.
