Almost as expected, the victory went to the favored Swiss Lara Gut-Behrami, the great dominator in the Super-G in recent weeks.
She became the first world champion of the title fights in Cortina d'Ampezzo after the first three days without competitions due to the weather (we reported).

Silver went to Gut-Behrami's compatriot Corinne Suter, bronze went to the American Mikaela Shiffrin, who shot a giant buck in her run and thus missed the possible gold medal.
Kira Weidle can now concentrate on her actual highlight of this World Cup and the whole season: Tomorrow, Saturday, the downhill will take place in the Dolomites, in which the 24-year-old calculates significantly more than 19th place Confidently ahead again: "At least for the descent the speed is right."
