US President Joe Biden issued a declaration ending the state of national emergency on the US-Mexico border.
According to American media, the White House published a message that Biden sent to both the Speaker of the House of Representatives and the Speaker of the Senate, in which he indicated that "the declared state of emergency on the country's southern borders is not justified."
The statement posted on the official White House website read: “By this letter, I inform Congress that the state of national emergency that lasted from February 13, 2020 until January 15, 2021 has been terminated and that the authorities cited in this declaration will no longer be used to build a wall on the southern border. To the United States ”.
