In Bavaria, too, the lockdown will be extended until March 7th.

But what exactly does that mean for the Free State?

The new Corona rules at a glance.

  • The tough Corona * lockdown will be extended again in Bavaria - until March 7th.

  • However, hairdressers should be allowed to open from March 1st.

  • But Söder made it clear: The Free State will wait longer than other federal states to open schools.

Munich - The extension of the corona lockdown until March 7th is a done deal.

That was decided by Chancellor Merkel and the Prime Ministers at the summit on February 10th.

But what exactly does that mean for Bavaria?

When will there be openings again?

Here is an overview of the new regulations for the Free State.

Corona rules in Bavaria: The goal is a nationwide 7-day incidence of 35

The ultimate goal in the further course of the Corona * pandemic: Bavaria should come back to a 7-day incidence of 35.

When this value is reached, easing should be possible, such as opening up the retail sector.

But how exactly the Free State implements this requirement is still unclear.

Will there be relaxation in individual counties with stable incidences - or just the entire state?

"We are a little more cautious and reserved than others," emphasized Prime Minister Markus Söder after the summit.

He was also referring to planned school openings.

Each federal state decides for itself on this point. Berlin's mayor Michael Müller has already announced that schools will be reopened in February.

However, Söder left individual opening steps and times for Bavaria completely open at a press conference on Wednesday evening.

The Bavarian cabinet will deal with this issue on Thursday, February 11th.

A few details on how to proceed in the corona crisis have now leaked.

In Bavaria, for example, the general curfew should fall from 9 p.m.

It should therefore remain from an incidence of over 100 - but only after 10 p.m.

Schools are expected to partially reopen on February 22nd.
