The prosecution in the dismissal trial of former US President Donald Trump tonight (Thursday) showed unseen footage from security videos documenting the January 6 riots on Capitol Hill.
This, on the second day of the trial in the Senate.
The photos showed the interior of the Capitol, where the rioters smashed windows, confronted police forces and even reached a distance of 30 meters from the location where former Vice President Mike Pence hid with his family.
The new documentation also showed how Pence and his family were quickly evacuated with the outbreak of the incident to a secure area in the Capitol.
In addition, you can see the thousands of Trump supporters storming the Capitol while shouting "Hang Mike Pence," and the gallows placed on the grass outside Congress.
The photos highlighted how they set themselves the goal primarily of the Republican legislators.

David Sicilini, one of the dismissal directors, claimed during the trial that Trump "did not once condemn the attackers. In fact, on January 6, the only person he condemned was his own vice president, Mike Pence, who hid in this building with his family, fearing for his life."
Sicilini went on to attack that "in the critical first hours of this violent attack, he did nothing to stop it or help us."

Senator Mitt Romney, who was also seen in one of the videos evacuated from the riots by police, described that he did not know how close he was that day to the rioters.
"Obviously because it's very disturbing to see the tremendous violence that the Capitol police and others have been subjected to. It tears your heart and brings you to tears, it was overwhelmingly emotional and emotional," Romney said.
In addition to Lantern and Romani, Senate Democrat leader Chuck Schumer also appeared evacuated during the riots.

Trump's trial continued tonight after the Senate on Tuesday ruled it was unconstitutional.
56 senators voted in favor, including six Republican senators, and 44 voted against.
Disruptions occurred on the day Congress convened to ratify Joe Biden's electoral victory in the presidential election.
Lawmakers in the building were rushed to hiding places, and the incident ended with five dead, including one police officer.
