Born in 1912, Gene Kelly has no other model than himself.
"Dancing must be a manly art"
, he proclaims, aware of sowing revolution in the ether of Terpsichore.
Far from it the classic training where everyone seeks to resemble the same ideal model.
Its curriculum does not even include a serious dance school.
He trained in ice hockey and gymnastics.
If he consents to the dance, quite late in view of the age at which this kind of vocation is usually born, it is, he confesses, to flirt with girls and perform in a show.
