The prosecution filed an indictment today (Thursday) in the Be'er Sheva District Court against Galit Tzarfati, who was absent for two weeks with her 5-year-old son. She was charged with kidnapping from custody and violating a legal provision - which required her to make arrangements with her son's father.
The indictment recounts the series of events that preceded the disappearance of the 43-year-old Frenchman last month. Among other things, it was stated that she had conducted many proceedings against her son's father in the courts, with the aim of depriving him of the right of custody of his son, but all the courts did not accept her claims. The prosecution stressed that a Frenchman repeatedly violated family court orders related to the evidentiary arrangements, while the family court imposed fines on her and issued an order delaying the minor's departure from the country.
