Honoring scientific and social figures who contributed to a campaign to care and treat children with cancer in the Al-Left Foundation was the content of the ceremony organized by the association at the Russian Cultural Center in Damascus today.
The ceremony, which was held in cooperation with the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor, during which the Foundation's Board of Trustees Chairman, Ali Diab, thanked all volunteers in the Foundation, pointing out the importance of volunteer work to draw a smile on the face of children.
Basima Safia, the secretary of the Foundation for the Care and Treatment of Cancer Children, stated to Sanaa Cultural that the left was established with the aim of supporting children with cancer and their families through various services that include psychological support, meditation sessions and energy to relieve emotional states, in addition to various workshops and the provision of treatment and medication indicating that the event titled Thank You Heart was set up with the aim of thanking everyone who has a long history of supporting Cancer children with sincere intention and action.
In turn, Dr. Ghina Najati, a mental health specialist and a member of the Foundation, described Cancer Children as a school of hope and challenge, noting the importance of training courses and workshops in the Psychological Support Department in relieving tension and rebuilding children's self-confidence.
Among the honored personalities is Dr. Alia Al-Assad, head of the Pharmacists Syndicate in Damascus, who indicated that supporting cancer children is a duty that we do towards children in order to alleviate the suffering of children and the suffering of their families.
Among the honorees, Dr. Amal Mahasin drew attention to the importance of honoring because it creates an example to know the importance of voluntary and community work, especially in these circumstances.
Director of the Russian Cultural Center, Nikolai Sukhov, stressed the importance of this event, pointing out that the center's duty is to stand with and support humanitarian cases.
The list of honorees included Nebug Al-Awa, Ziad Khalouf, Ali Shuka, Suheir Bolad, Shahira Falouh, Anas, Marwa Al-Kurdi, Priest Eid Hanna, Ziad Al-Shweiki, Young Chamber International, Kebour Company, and Syria International Islamic Bank.
It is noteworthy that the Elissar Foundation for the Care and Treatment of Children of Cancer, affiliated with the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor, includes four basic programs that include treatment of injured children, psychosocial support, pain relief, cancer prevention and scientific research.
