(CNN Spanish) -
José Uriel Delgado, known as “Chepito”, the oldest Costa Rican with 120 years, received the second dose of the covid-19 vaccine on Tuesday.
According to the Hogar de Ancianos de Piedades de Santa Ana where he is located, he has not had any adverse reactions and continues with his daily routine.
Another 22 older adults residing at the site and staff also received the second dose.
The first was applied to them on January 19.
They are all part of the first of 5 groups established for the coronavirus vaccination campaign by the National Commission for Vaccination and Epidemiology of Costa Rica, where health workers and first responders such as firefighters and police are also found.
The campaign began on December 24 of last year.
Coopesana staff provided both doses at this long-stay home.
It is one of the cooperatives hired by the Costa Rican Social Security Fund, CCSS, the institution responsible for social security and public health in the country.
Despite the fact that Pfizer announced on January 21 that it was suspending deliveries of vaccines until mid-February, those in stock are intended to complete the schedules of those who have already received the first dose.
