Neuilly-sur-Seine: the father who lived with his son's corpse speaks of a "domestic accident"

2021-02-11T19:49:32.818Z

Mohieddine D. has been tried since Wednesday by the Hauts-de-Seine assize court for the murder of his son, who was stabbed and donated

Of this boy whose father is accused of having killed him, the jurors of the Hauts-de-Seine assize court saw only the photos of a decomposed body.

To several witnesses, the president of the court asked if they had a photo of the teenager.

The father, tried for the murder of his son since Wednesday, would not have it in his cell in the remand center.

So, called to the bar on this second day of hearing, the principal of the college of Neuilly-sur-Seine where the teenager was educated will look in the archives.

Perhaps he will transmit them this Friday, on the last day of the trial of Mohieddine D., 69 years old.

In the meantime, only the images of the corpse broadcast this Thursday at the hearing remain in memory.

The body lies on its stomach, the black, curly hair seems intact.

The skin of the back is the color of copper.

These photos were taken when the body was discovered in June 2017, a year and a half after the victim's death.

During all this time, the father lived with the corpse of his child, which had rotten more and more every day than the day before.

He had covered it with a carpet and blankets, and had left it in the hallway of their small apartment in Neuilly-sur-Seine since the tragedy, in December 2015.

According to the coroner, the victim looked like a mummy

The covers let in some air.

This had the effect of dehydrating the body and explains "the parchment skin and its cardboard appearance", exposed the medical examiner at the bar.

In fact, the corpse, "very altered, was at the beginning of mummification".

Traces of lesion were thus able to disappear, but the coroner noted seven stab wounds on the back.

Non-fatal wounds.

The one that killed the teenager is the consequence of a stab wound in the abdomen, inserted 15 centimeters deep.

The bleeding was fatal.

But impossible for the lawyer to specify the time of the agony.

Nor the teenager's chances of survival if help had intervened.

"It's a domestic accident", has always assailed the accused.

According to his account, his son fell on his own on the knife while he was hopping on his bed one day in December.

In such a case, "the knife should be held firmly throughout the fall with the blade pointed towards the abdomen", explains the forensic expert.

However, in the event of an accidental fall, the reflex causes the knife to drop, she said.

What about the wounds in the back?

By dint of contortions at the bar, the doctor mimics injuries that are very difficult to inflict on oneself.

Verdict expected this Friday

Despite the explanations of the specialist, Mohieddine D. is "very satisfied" with what he heard, he comments when the president of the court suggests that he react to the presentation of the lawyer, the entomologist who analyzed the insects still interested in the corpse, from the expert who examined what remained of the viscera of his child.

The man is decidedly confusing.

This Friday, he will be questioned on the facts.

On the possible argument which would have preceded the crime.

On the chain of events, his gestures, the kitchen knife stuck in the body of the teenager.

And on the cover-up for eighteen months.

Barring an improbable twist, the accused should stick to his version of "the domestic accident".
