(ANSA) - ROME, 11 FEB - The CISL with Annamaria Furlan is open to the hypothesis of extending the school calendar. If necessary, "the CISL will give availability, but the need will be evaluated well with respect to whom and how, because the school has continued to work in these months," said the general secretary of the CISL. "It is an argument to be activated through a comparison. There may be this need - he specified - but it must be well identified with respect to who and how". A wide opening to the prime minister in charge also came from the president of the ANCI, Antonio Decaro, who today met the ex-number one of the ECB with Upi and Regions. "We have given the availability of our summer centers to make up for the gap" in school education that occurred due to the pandemic with the closure of schools and the dad and thus give "the children an educational restaurant '", he explained at the end of the meeting . Municipalities are not directly involved in the issue of extending the calendar but already last summer they made an important contribution in the organization of summer camps for the 3-14 year age group. The hypothesis of extending the lessons in the summer, however, leaves most of the trade unions perplexed, as well as those directly involved, teachers and students. Two different surveys - one from Orizzonte Scuola and one from Skuola.net - have testified that the professors are clearly opposed to extending their lessons until the end of June (over 11,000 out of a plateau of 13,000) and the boys are of the same opinion: 8 out of 10 do not want lessons last longer and they would be ready to give up a few days of vacation during the upcoming Easter holidays. In the meantime, the written tests of the ordinary competition for teachers will resume in five days, interrupted in November, "but no indication has yet arrived from the Ministry of Education regarding the obligation for participants to present themselves with the report of the swab made in the previous 48 hours: leave in disarray thousands and thousands of teachers is unheard of ", accuses Rino Di Meglio, coordinator of the Guild of Teachers. The Uil school with Pino Turi, on the other hand, judges "inappropriate" - since the government has resigned - the calling of a trade union meeting by the education minister to address the issues of staff mobility which involves hundreds of thousands of workers in the school. And in Campania the situation on the school front continues to remain tense. "The closure of the institutions cannot continue to be the only containment measure of Covid19 in Campania. It is not possible that the only compromised right is, once again, that of education", say the No Dad families. While the mayor of Naples Luigi De Magistris highlights "the incongruity, inadequacy and lack of programming and capacity of the Campania Region, which in Europe has reached the sad black jersey for being the last to reopen schools in September and the first to close them ". Yesterday the governor De Luca expressed the need for face-to-face teaching to be suspended in all schools, from elementary to high school, given the increase in contagions. Tensions also in Puglia, where all the unions of the school have proclaimed a one-hour strike, the first lesson on Monday 22 February, to protest against yet another regional ordinance that leaves families the freedom of choice over attendance in attendance. A 44-year-old support teacher died today of Covid in the Bari area. (HANDLE).
