A violent attack occurred in the city of Bariloche, Río Negro province, when
a passenger stabbed a bus driver
because he asked her to put on the mask.
The brutal attack occurred last Friday around 6:00 p.m. and was
registered by a security camera
installed in intern 24 of line 70, belonging to the company Mi Bus.
The 37-year-old woman, identified as Tamara Vanesa Oyarzo, according to the newspaper
El Cordillerano
, got into the unit at the intersection of Moreno and Palacios streets.
At that moment, the driver asked her to put on her chinstrap, which provoked an unexpected reaction from the passenger.
Amid
shouts and insults,
the bus driver asked the man who was accompanying the woman to intervene.
However, the aggressor put on her mask and approached the front of the group.
First, it removed the coronavirus protection that isolates the driver's seat.
Later,
he attacked him with a knife
and wounded him in the hand and in the right rib area.
The woman was arrested a few minutes after the brutal attack.
The other passengers, terrified by the situation, experienced moments of great tension and immediately notified the Police.
A few blocks later, the woman
was arrested.
The victim, meanwhile, is
out of danger
.
After a hearing, the judge of Guarantees Ricardo Calcagno imposed on the aggressor a preventive prison for fifteen days for the crime of injuries.
These days, Oyarzo is being psychologically evaluated to determine her ability to undergo the process.
She is being held "due to the current procedural risks of hindering the investigation and risk of flight."

the woman had been sentenced
to two years in suspended prison in March 2020. The sentence had been imposed on her in a trial in which two files were unified against her: one for injuries aggravated by the bond and another for injuries.
