Alonso had jaw surgery after his bicycle accident

The day after his cycling accident in Switzerland, Fernando Alonso underwent successful upper jaw surgery, says the Formula 1 Alpine team on Friday.

The Spanish driver will stay 48 hours in the hospital and will be able to resume training quickly.

The accident should not have an impact, beyond measure, on his preparation for the 2021 season adds his team.
