Irish European Parliament member Claire Daly confirmed that the European Union is using the case of the Russian opposition Alexei Navalny to fuel the geopolitical confrontation with Moscow in the service of the military-industrial complex.
During a session of the European Parliament, Navalny denounced the European behavior towards Moscow against Navalny’s background, and said: “If Navalny had been arrested, not in Russia, but in any other country, you would not have discussed him here between these walls,” noting that the issue “is not in Navalny and human rights.”
Daly criticized European standards in evoking the issue of Navalny and silence about the case of the founder of the site WikiLeaks Julian Assange, who exposed American plots and conspiracies.
And Daly demanded cooperation with Russia and its participation in dialogue instead of "beating the drums of war with it."
