Today (12th) Lunar New Year's Day, at nearly 10 pm, a number of fireworks were set off on a line of car flyovers between Phase I and Phase II of the Tsuen Wan Centre and within the housing estate.
The fireworks were deafening, and they were quite close to residential buildings when they exploded, making them dangerous.
The police received multiple reports that a driver boarded and left after setting off fireworks.
After the police arrived at the scene to investigate, they saw a firework box left on the flyover, but no fireworker was found.
Many residents filmed videos on the Internet. The fireworks "display" lasted more than 3 minutes. After the fireworks, a large number of residents could not hide their excitement. They kept clapping and cheering. Some people chanted "Encore!" Windows must be closed when entering the house.
