Michel BARNIER. -
Professionally, I would not have been the European Union negotiator for Brexit if I had not had experience as a French and European politician.
In France, I was notably Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries.
As European Commissioner, I was in charge of the internal market and financial services.
I was able to use all of this during these four and a half years on Brexit.
But above all, I would not have been in this position if Jean-Claude Juncker had not trusted me.
