A circular route through Emmering: This idea - last put on hold due to lack of money - is now to be implemented.

- A path through the community that connects existing and future important places: This is what the CSU wanted for the first time at the beginning of 2020. At that time, there was also talk of intermediate stations such as a barbecue area, fitness islands, a soccer field and a water playground.
But because of the financial situation, the idea was not pursued further - although the planning costs had been written into the budget.
Now the topic came back on the agenda in the budgetary debate.
And now 10,000 euros have been set aside for the planning of the circular route - the new application by the CSU in the most recent meeting of the main committee went through.
This time you want to tackle the project.
"The circular route should be something special for Emmering," said Werner Öl (CSU).
The aim is also to connect planned construction projects such as the community center forecourt and the new fire brigade building that is being built with the path.
However, the focus should initially be on the urban area.
Additional amper bridge
According to the application of the CSU, the circular route should lead from the center of the village into the Untere Au, then along the Amperauen.
An additional bridge is to lead from the Untere Au over the Amper back to the town center.
The circular route should be usable for all generations and especially in the center of the village should be barrier-free.
Also connect the Tonwerk
In the previous year, the idea of crossing the Amper at the level of Unterer Au was the main point of criticism of the Free Voters (FW).
Now in the committee, Michael Schanderl (FW) said that on the south side the path is still relatively close to the Amper, but on the north side he sees no chance for a connecting path.
The piece through the FFH area to the way is too much.
Schanderl criticized the mentioned inclusion of not yet implemented or completed building projects: "It is difficult to plan a route to something that does not yet exist." Nevertheless, Schanderl pleaded for the circular route with "focus on the inner-city connection".
The FW suggested integrating the Tonwerk as well.
Öl replied to Schanderl that the budget consultation now initially involves taking money into account when planning the circular route.
Only in the future will they discuss “what is worth using the money for”.
The subject of the Ampersteg is "not to be discussed today".
It is not yet clear where exactly the planning costs for the Emmeringer Rundweg will be set.
Soon after the committee, the local council will deal with the budget for the current year - and thus also with projects such as the circular route.
