This joke came up with support teacher Rüdiger Grübnau.
"In November we received two masks for each teacher from the Ministry of Culture, with the advice to use them in special situations," says Grübnau, who works at a primary school in Erlangen.
In addition, the 56-year-old is the head of the specialist group for special needs teachers in Middle Franconia at the Bavarian Teachers' Association (BLLV).
And: He hasn't lost his sense of humor, as the Corona * fire alarm shows.
"If we don't laugh, this time will not be bearable at all."
But the Nuremberg * is still annoyed.
The two masks in November were followed by three more at the beginning of January.
“That's really a thing,” he complains.
As a teacher, he has daily contact with a large number of children and has to talk for hours on end.
Homeschooling actually applies in Bavaria.
But there is still emergency care.
"About 50 percent of the children keep coming in," says the remedial teacher - and at a primary school it is much more difficult to teach people how to keep their distance.
FFP2 masks from the Ministry of Culture: 500,000 masks mean only three for each teacher
The few free FFP2 masks from the Ministry of Culture seem like a joke.
Over 500,000 pieces were distributed to the Bavarian schools, Minister of Education Michael Piazolo reported in a press conference on February 2nd *: “If you need a mask, you get one.” Grübnau can only laugh about it: “That is certainly well meant and sounds good good at first.
But if you distribute 500,000 masks to 160,000 teachers, there are only three for each. "
And: "We have long since disposed of the three masks," says the pedagogue with a smile.
"According to the RKI * you should wear the FFP2 masks for a maximum of 75 minutes and then take them off for 30 minutes," he explains.
After 75 minutes of wearing the masks are often soaked: "When you put on a new one, you really notice how difficult it was to breathe with the old mask."

As a teacher, he needs at least two masks a day, says the 56-year-old.
That's why he bought 200 pieces himself.
Grübnau agrees with the many Corona rules in everyday life, he clarifies: “I'm only at work or at home, I've completely cut my social contacts.
Because with so much contact with the students, I can quickly become a super spreader. ”The masks distributed to the teachers are also a good idea in principle.
“I believe the Ministry is acting to the best of its ability.
But sometimes you just have to think a little.
Three masks are enough for me for a day and a half. ”Because if an FFP2 mask is to be reused, it first has to dry for several days.
The 56-year-old would like more clarity from the ministry: "If I want to reopen the schools, then I have to make sure that my employees are well protected." And with fabric masks * you are not protected, otherwise shopping would also be with them still possible.
Or the other way around: "If the FFP2 masks are not necessary, why did we get these three?"
School openings: union calls for more protection for educators in Bavaria
The union ver.di Bayern is also calling for more protection for educators.
Occupational health and safety is the minimum.
"The pedagogical specialists must not become a plaything", Brigitte Zach, Department of Communities, is quoted in a press release.
The prerequisite for the reopening would have to be small and fixed groups or adapted opening times.
