A new American study revealed that cholesterol drugs can reduce the risk of death from the Corona virus.
According to the study published by the British newspaper "Daily Mail", scientists from the Yale School of Public Health examined 11,078 patients who died from corona, and revealed that giving statin drugs to hospitalized patients in the early stages of Covid 19 infection reduced the death rate by nearly half.
Lead author Dr. Lori Daniels said, "We found that statins are not only safe but also protect against severe corona infection," as cholesterol-lowering drugs may specifically prevent corona infection through their known anti-inflammatory effects and binding capabilities, as this can stop the development of the virus.
