According to the doctor, the hospital received 27 patients since its opening, and the longest stay for a patient included 8 days, and most of the cases graduated quickly after greatly improving and without any problems, indicating that the hospital was transferred to a stone center to receive people coming from outside the country from various border outlets and who have a problem with a stain. Corona until its confirmation, after the Ministry canceled Ibn Rushd Hospital as a quarantine center and returned it to its routine work to treat addiction and psychological states.
Last October, the Ministry of Health opened the Emergency Hospital in Al-Faiha Sports City to receive cases infected with Coronavirus with moderate symptoms and in need of oxygen support only, in order to reduce the suffering of those infected with the virus in terms of treatment at home or to secure oxygen cylinders, whose prices rose significantly during that period.
During the past months, the hospital has worked with high readiness and is equipped with beds, CPR and oxygen supplies, in addition to a modern ambulance to ensure the transfer of cases that need intensive care to other hospitals, according to Dr. Hassaba, who indicated that the halls in Al-Fayhaa Sports City were chosen to equip the emergency hospital due to the large and high area that It provides good ventilation for Corona patients.
The Ministry of Health established an emergency hospital in cooperation with international organizations (the World Health Organization, the International Committee of the Red Cross, UNICEF, and the High Commissioner for Refugees in one of the halls of Al-Fayhaa Sports City) with a capacity of 120 beds in addition to 100 spare beds that will be placed in the adjacent hall in case of need, according to Dr. Hassab.
The doctor renewed his account of his assertion that the decrease in Corona cases (officially registered) does not at all mean laxity in preventive measures, but rather caution and more strictness must be made, and the precautionary measures must be adhered to to combat the virus and limit its spread.
