A webcam snapshot from a ski area is causing a stir in the network: a hiker without clothes is posing completely uninhibited - in the middle of the snow.

  • During the corona lockdown, ski areas in Bavaria must also remain closed.

  • A hiker takes advantage of this: At sunset, he poses without a cover in the snow - in the middle of a ski slope.

  • A webcam camera of the Zugspitzbahn takes a photo of it - and posts it on the Internet.

  • Everything from the region is available in the GAP newsletter.

Garmisch-Partenkirchen - It would actually be an idyllic snapshot taken by the webcam of the Bavarian Zugspitzbahn: The snow-covered mountain landscape of a Garmisch ski area, in the early evening during sunset.

Only a person in the middle of the photo - without a shell, like God created him - deceives the winter idyll.

On the net, the photo turns into an internet hit.

Garmisch-Partenkirchen: Hikers can be photographed without a cover on the ski slope - and become an internet hit

With the back to the camera - gender difficult to identify - arms stretched far to the left and right.

For example, a stranger poses in the Garmisch-Classic ski area near the Kreuzjoch in the middle of the snow.

To the right of it, the discarded clothes are stacked.

In non-Corona times, the webcam recordings are important information for winter sports enthusiasts to get an overview of the slope conditions.

The Zugspitzbahn camera takes a photo every ten minutes.

Ski slopes in lockdown: hiker poses without a shell in the sunset - in icy temperatures

An hour later, an employee of the Zugspitzbahn clicks through the pictures.

“That day there was a super beautiful sunset.

So my colleague wanted to see if there were any good photos, ”says employee Carolin Kunzmann.

In doing so, he discovered the wanderer in Adam's costume.

But the stranger didn't just pose on the slopes - he first had to climb the mountain.

"Up to this point it takes at least an hour, more like 1.5 to 2", says Kunzmann.

And that at wintry, frosty temperatures.

"It was definitely not much warmer than around 0 degrees up there."

Besides the identity of the hiker, the reason for this photo campaign will remain an eternal secret.

Was the person seeking freedom in lockdown in a particularly natural way?

Or should the snapshot add to the general amusement in the Corona crisis?

In any case, the latter succeeded.

Garmisch-Partenkirchen: Coverless photo in the ski area - Facebook users enthusiastic

A look at the Facebook page of the Zugspitzbahn shows that.

With the words: "Now people are slowly going crazy ..." the photo was published there.

The post has now been liked a total of 1750 times - and commented on 430 times.

(As of February 12, 21, 2:17 p.m.)

The followers have a lot of fun with the unusual sunset snapshot.

"Let's hope that nothing on him is frozen ...", writes one user.

“The tip of the summit with a difference”, “He took it literally: Discover your true nature” or “Aren't we all a little“ Bluna ”due to the lockdown?

I think it's wonderful ”, others comment.

Even if many questions remain unanswered - one thing is certain: the camera location near the Kreuzjoch is no secret.

“You can definitely expect to be photographed there,” emphasizes Kunzmann.

The hiker's ascent at sunset should have been worthwhile every time.

“The person really hit a very good point in time.

Half an hour earlier or later it wouldn't have been so nice up there, ”the Zugspitzbahn employee knows.

That was it with the ski season in Garmisch-Partenkirchen: Due to Corona, it was ended prematurely.

At the Zugspitzbahn one hopes for openings for hikers and day tourists.

Many Murnau business people, however, have had enough by now.

In a fire letter to Söder, they complain about the injustice of the corona restrictions.
