Iran unveiled today the first satellite system in the country under the name of the "Hajj Qassem Soleimani" and the "Arom Set" satellite.
Iran's Fars News Agency quoted Deputy Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly Ali Nikzad as saying during the unveiling ceremony that "the Arom-Set satellite will be used for commercial purposes in the field of aerial photography with very high accuracy and will be placed in orbit around the Earth at a much lower cost than foreign satellites."
Nikzad considered that this satellite embodies the Iranian confident ability in the youth sector that leads the scientific renaissance in Iran in the path of growth, prosperity and achievements.
It is noteworthy that the satellite "Arum Set" was carried out by scientists and private sector experts in the city of Urumiya, the capital of Azerbaijan province, northwest of Iran.
