In Deir Ezzor Governorate, the activities of the service week organized by the governorate at the level of all administrative units in cooperation with popular organizations and the local community were launched on the occasion of the Local Councils Day, which falls on February 17 of each year and includes the implementation of a number of service, environmental and developmental activities and activities.
The deputy head of the governorate’s executive office, Kanaan Abdel-Wahab, said in a statement to SANA’s correspondent that the governorate has put in place an integrated program to revive the day of local councils that includes a set of activities that last a whole week with the participation of a wide range of service departments, popular organizations and the local community, as part of the efforts made to improve the service reality and enhance the culture of participation Between government agencies and the local community and actively contributing to the reconstruction of what terrorism has ravaged in Deir Ezzor Governorate.
The head of Deir Ezzor City Council, Engineer Raed Mandil, indicated that the city council started today a comprehensive cleaning campaign that was launched according to several axes and is continuing throughout the current week to cover all neighborhoods of the city, pointing out that the campaign also includes trimming trees in the middle islands, removing rain drains and restoring roads.
The Director of Technical Services, Eng. Nasser Sabaa Al-Dair, explained that the Directorate’s machinery workshops participate in the Local Administration Week by transferring rubble from the liberated neighborhoods, as it began today to transfer rubble from the liberated neighborhood of Hawiga and will continue to work to include a number of other neighborhoods.
