There is no carnival, traveling is practically impossible - but in Seefeld you can at least optically take a trip to the carnival in Venice.

- Due to the pandemic, there is not much to be felt about carnival these days.
Along the Seefeld main street, however, more precisely in the main street 33, Björn Kroll's large shop windows convey a feeling of the splendor of the Venetian Carnival these days: Kroll, who recently ran his shop “Eisstock24.de”, presents colorful, artistic and elaborate costumes moved from Frieding to Seefeld, probably until February 21st.
The wonderful costumes come from Kroll's mother Juliane Kroll, who lived in Seefeld for a while.
For many years the now 75-year-old artist traveled with selected friends to the “Carnevale di Venezia”.
The preparations dragged on for months.
The magnificent costumes had to be designed and sewn, after all, weeks before the performance in Venice, putting on and wearing the fabric works of art was practiced.
"It took one to one and a half hours to get dressed," says Björn Kroll, who wanted to make his mother happy with the exhibition and liven up Seefeld's main street.
Passers-by can admire the 13 costumes draped on sewing dolls through the shop windows and even listen to the sounds of Vivaldi's music.
At Hauptstrasse 33, Kroll (52), who is the largest dealer for everything to do with ice stock sport (we reported), has around 350 square meters available.
The rooms in Frieding were too small, “I have to be able to show the lanes”.
But Kroll has more plans.
"We still have a room, around 60 square meters, where we might want to set up a gallery or offer exhibitions."
