Kathi Höß is dead. This sad news reached many friends and football fans over the weekend.

Many mourn the "good soul" of FC Pipinsried.

Pipinsruied - Katharina Höß, née Tischner, died early Saturday morning in the Ingolstadt Clinic at the age of 79 after a serious illness.

Only a few days ago she was moved from the nursing home in Ebersbach to Ingolstadt due to serious health problems.

The native of Pipinsrieder recently celebrated her 79th birthday, by the way, together with her husband Konny, whose birthday is the same day.

"I can not believe it.

A few days ago she was in such a good mood, now she has suddenly died.

I am very grateful for the time with her, she was an incredible woman, ”said her shocked husband.

If the term “The good soul of the club” has to be defined, then Kathi Höß was a shining example.

In 1967 her husband Konny Höß founded FC Pipinsried, Kathi was always at his side, she had his back.

She washed the players' shirts, cooked for the boys after training, took care of the well-known fish and liver cheese rolls - and was also her “husband” in the sports center.

The two native Pipinsrieder married in 1962, followed by a church wedding in 1963.

She never learned a trade, she was not allowed to work from home.

“Kathi was always the best at school.

She only had ones and twos, ”Konny remembers.

The two always remained modest, they never needed luxury.

Holidays were only available in the last few years - Kathi insisted - and her husband followed her.

The two have a son, Reinhard.

FC Pipinsried also said goodbye to Kathi Höß via social networks: “For decades she was jointly responsible for the success and advancement of our FCP at the side of her husband Konrad.

Without their tireless efforts none of this would have been possible, and FC Pipinsried would not be where it is today.

With her cordial and good-natured manner, she was the center of the association.

The well-being of the players has always been important to her, the club was part of her family.

Generations of gamers have seen them come and go, most of whom have remained close to family ties to the very end.

She particularly enjoyed working with children, whether it was the FCP youth teams or the youngsters of players.

Even when her strength dwindled, she insisted on it and attended almost every home game.

She made no secret of how much she would have loved to stand in her kiosk or chat with friends after the game at the sports center.

Unfortunately, this is now a reminder, “of FCP.

Klaus Trejo also summarizes the thoughts of the current and former players on the social networks: “This is very sad news!

As a player at FC Pipinsried, Kathi Höß was able to experience the much-said 'good soul' of a club for years.

It is not tables, points, players or games that will be remembered for a long time, but people like Kathi who have lived and shaped a club for years and decades with inspiring passion, incredible heart and soul and great love.

The life's work and the life's work of Konrad and Kathi Höß at FC Pipinsried is unmatched in the sport, and every player who, like me, was very lucky to experience this club up close, gets very sad, but at the same time with great gratitude for many unforgettable hours think back with a woman remarkable and formidable in every way.

Rest in peace dear Kathi, I am very sure that you will keep a watchful eye on your FCP from heaven! "

There is also great sympathy from politics, as represented by the words of MdL Bernard Seidenath: “All friends of FC Pipinsried and football in the Dachau district mourn Kathi Höß.

Alongside her husband Konrad, she was the soul of the club for decades and took care of the players as well as the kiosk with sandwiches and drinks during home games.

One of their happiest hours was certainly June 5th, 2017, when FC Pipinsried in Fürth was promoted to the Regional League for the first time.

I will never forget your radiance this afternoon.

Kathi Höß will be very missing.

In this milieu of pressure to perform and succeed, she has always embodied the human element.

Football in the district and far beyond has become poorer today.

Now she will infect many in heaven with her love for FCP ... "
