The Sons of the Golan Charitable Association organized a national event on the occasion of the 39th anniversary of the general strike of our people in the occupied Syrian Arab Golan against the annexation decision, at the Culture Palace in the city of As-Suwayda.
The event included the presentation of a documentary film about the march of our people’s struggle in the occupied Golan and their resistance to all repressive practices, the presentation of patriotic dancing paintings presented by the Syrian Scheherazade group reflecting the steadfastness of our people in the occupied Golan, the opening of an exhibition of 100 paintings with various topics and techniques by artist Jinan Kamal al-Din and a joint exhibition of a group of women returning to life that included works. Artistic, heritage and craftsmanship, including spinning fabrics, combining the environment, collages and straw, simulating in some of them the environment of the occupied Golan and the steadfastness of the people in it.
In a statement to SANA correspondent, Chairman of the Board of the Sons of the Golan Charitable Society, Muhammad Munther, explained that the event comes to emphasize standing with our people in the occupied Syrian Arab Golan against the measures and plans of the occupation and its racist policy, indicating that the memory of the general strike remains a school for the world in the history of struggle and how our defenseless people are in the Golan They faced the arrogance and plans of the enemy armed with the most powerful weapons, armed with their courage, faith, and firm patriotic principles, their adherence to the Syrian Arab identity, and their assertion of the absolute belonging to the motherland of Syria.
The opening of the event was attended by the Governor of As-Suwayda, Hammam Sadiq Dibiyat, Sheikh Akl of the Unitarian Muslim Community, Yusef Jarbou, official and party events and a crowd of people.
