The Syrian Social Nationalist Party in Lebanon affirmed that the steadfastness of the people of the occupied Syrian Arab Golan and their resistance to the Israeli occupation and their adherence to their Syrian Arab identity represents a unique case of resistance and a true expression of their patriotic and national affiliation.
On the occasion of the thirty-ninth anniversary of the comprehensive national strike waged by the people of the Golan on the fourteenth of February 1982 to reject the invalid annexation decision, the party said in today's statement, “The February 14 uprising constituted one of the stations of steadfastness through which the people of the Golan expressed their will to resist the occupation and adhere to their identity. Their national affiliation and their rejection of any form of submission and surrender to the Israeli occupation forces, and by commemorating this anniversary every year, they confirm the solidity of their position rejecting the occupation and aggression.
The statement pointed out that the steadfast people of the occupied Golan embodied, through their adherence to their Syrian identity, the reality of their belonging to their homeland, where they formed, through their relentless struggle and will to endure, and confronting the arrogance of the Zionist occupation, a unique case of resistance recorded by our national history in its most beautiful pages.
He stressed that the occupied Golan is Syrian land, and this is a firmly established fact and that resistance to the occupation is obligatory and legitimate, and it is the only way to liberate all occupied Arab lands, stressing that just as Syria records victories in the face of the global terrorist war, it will win the battle to liberate the Golan and restore it to its confinement.
For his part, the secretary of the leadership body of the independent Nasserite Movement, Brigadier Mustafa Hamdan, confirmed that the struggle of the sons of the occupied Syrian Arab Golan and their rejection of the Israeli occupation will remain the live fire of struggle rejecting all attempts at annexation and intimidation.
Hamdan said in a statement, addressing the people of the Golan, "You were and will remain the pride of the nation, and you are today the crown of the heads and the vanguard of the resistance."
