From Al-Qadam station to Al-Rabwah and then destroyed to Al-Hama, the Syrian Travel Team for Love and Peace carried out a plantation campaign entitled (Love, Its Life), which included planting 750 seedlings in cooperation with the Hijaz Railroad Corporation and the Ministry of Agriculture.
Lieutenant General Anwar Muhammad explained in a statement to SANA's correspondent that the campaign was carried out with the participation of volunteers from the governorates of Daraa, Rural Damascus, Lattakia, Deir Ezzor and Hasakah, and it is a practical expression of our love for our country by reforesting the areas that were damaged by terrorism and for cutting and unfair burning, pointing out that the campaign started from Al Qadam Station to Al Rabwa Then to destroyed the way to Al-Hama to cultivate plants and spread love and peace.
In turn, the director of the Hijazi Railroad Corporation, Hassanein Muhammad Ali, stated that the goal of afforesting the gardens surrounding the institution’s stations that were sabotaged by terrorism is to return them to the best they were.
According to the head of the forest department in Damascus countryside, engineer Bilal Al-Shelly, the plantings planted by the volunteers varied between olives, laurel, fruit pine, protein, fan palm, in addition to some roses, yellow jasmine, eucalyptus and cypress trees.
The campaign also included, according to the employee of the General Organization for the Hejazi Railroad, Qahtan Al-Hijali, the Foundation’s stations in the Qadam, the Knoll and the Important, and it is a message to the world that despite the war and destruction, we will continue to cultivate the land with planting and love.
The General Supervisor of Environmental Affairs of the Syrian Traveler team and the Director of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform in Daraa, Engineer Abdel-Fattah Al-Rahal, stated that the afforestation campaign will move to all governorates to restore its green splendor and maintain the ecological balance.
In turn, the media and cultural officer in the team, Hana Makana, indicated that the campaign was an expression of love in its sublime meaning for the land and the homeland, while a number of the team members expressed their happiness to participate in the campaign, as Abboud's example indicated that its goal is to participate in restoring the green and shiny color to the Syrian lands after it was caught by the hands of treachery and burned while Basil Fattal considered it a patriotic duty, while Maryam Saleh Abu Al-Nada stressed that it was an attempt to spread the meanings of love and peace.
