The Chief Medical Officer of the Department of Infectious Diseases of the Centre for Health Protection of the Department of Health, Ou Jiarong, said that there were 12 new confirmed cases today, involving 5 men and 7 women, 10 of which were local cases, of which 3 were of unknown origin.
Cases of unknown origin include a 35-year-old male hair stylist of Radio Television Hong Kong (the 10771th case), who lives in No. 1 Fu Bo Garden in Ma On Shan and is listed as a mandatory testing building.
The patient last went to work and became ill on February 11. During the three-day infectious period, he arranged hair for the people who appeared on the scene in the dressing room. More than 20 people were classified as close contacts, including colleagues who worked with the patient and people who had received services. And people who have taken off their masks in the dressing room, including the former Civic Party leader and chairman Yu Ruowei as a guest of the show "Discussion".
Ou Jiarong also said that the powder room covers an area of about 300 to 400 feet and can accommodate 20 to 30 people.

There is also a new confirmed case in Huayuan Building. The patient lives in a sub-divided apartment and the other 15 residents are classified as close contacts.
