Al-Thawra District Police Department in Deir Ezzor uncovered a large warehouse containing stolen materials, after arresting a wanted person for drug use.
In a statement, SANA received a copy of it, the Ministry of the Interior stated that through the follow-up, investigation and pursuit of the wanted, the Al-Thawra District Police Department in Deir Ezzor was able to arrest a wanted man and seize possession of a military rifle with ammunition, grenades, and an amount of hashish. A quantity of stolen tools, a motorbike and copper cables, and during his interrogation, he confessed to using and promoting hashish, and that he buys the stolen materials and hides them in the aforementioned warehouse to sell them at a later time.
The ministry stated that the accused confessed to stealing iron from uninhabited buildings within the city, in conjunction with hidden persons, and another wanted person was arrested for the offense of promoting the narcotic substance of hashish.
The Ministry indicated that the theft and stolen tools were confiscated, investigations and research are still ongoing for the disappeared, and those arrested, along with the confiscations, will be brought to the competent court.
