Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova announced that Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will discuss with the special envoy of the United Nations Secretary-General to Syria Geir Pedersen next Thursday, a political solution to the crisis in Syria.
Zakharova said in a press conference today that the Russian Foreign Minister will meet on the eighteenth of this month the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General of the United Nations to Syria, "noting that during the meeting," political settlement issues will be discussed within the framework of the work of the constitution discussion committee in Geneva and the results of the international meeting on Syria. The day after tomorrow, the fifteenth round of Astana talks on Syria will be held in the Russian city of Sochi.
