- After more than 20 years in Bad Tölz, the company "Anita Dr.

Helbig ”started production in the spa town.

The world-famous manufacturer of lingerie and swimwear has also made a name for itself in the breast prosthesis sector.

These were manufactured in the Farchet industrial park in a wide variety of shapes, functions and sizes.

Around 25 employees are affected by the closure.

The discontent among them seems to be great in part.

"Almost all employees are unemployed with immediate effect, the rest of them have to go to the headquarters in Brannenburg from Monday," says the former workforce in a message to the Tölzer Kurier.

There is also talk that the Bad Tölz site has been systematically hit the wall for years.

And: “Employees who had been with the company for 35 years were fired, and as a thank you asked these loyal employees, who stayed until the end, that they should clean the radiators!” The intention was to send a message to the public .

In the pandemic, it is particularly difficult to find a new job.

Three main locations - the headquarters in Brannenburg (district of Rosenheim), the prosthesis production in Bad Tölz and the logistics center in Kufstein, Austria - can no longer be afforded.

"The business is difficult, and we moan a lot under the second lockdown." Nevertheless, one third of the Tölz workforce has been taken over: In future, those affected will work in a so-called pilot production facility in Brannenburg.

This will be attached to the local development department.

"In this way, synergies are to be used in particular to promote innovations and simplify processes."

According to Weber-Unger, some of the prosthesis production in Tölz will also be relocated to Matrei in East Tyrol.

The remaining employment relationships have been tried to end "generously and amicably".

"There were even calls from employees who thanked them for the pleasant cooperation."

Production in Bad Tölz has already been discontinued.

In the near future the building in Tölzer Farchet is to be completely renovated.

According to Weber-Unger, it will remain in the possession of the Anita group of companies.

After the renovation, the businessman wants to rent the building to a new business.

"With a fair rent in order to bind the new tenant to us in the long term."

The business development agency has now started a large survey of how the companies in the Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen district are generally doing in the Corona crisis.

In any case, one branch of the economy has seen an upswing: the organic sector is booming.

The farmers in the district, on the other hand, are struggling with falling meat and milk prices.
