The bereaved family of Guillaume T. wants justice to get involved.
His lawyer, Me Elodie Tuaillon-Hibon, announced on Monday via a press release that she had been mandated to "seize the Paris prosecutor's office with a complaint against X for willful violence resulting in death without intention of giving it".
Guillaume T. was found hanged in his student room on the Nanterre campus (Hauts-de-Seine) on February 9.
That is to say three weeks after having accused the elected Communist Maxime Cochard and his companion of rape.
If the Nanterre prosecutor's office had opened an investigation to find the causes of death, the first elements had not established a formal link between the accusations of rape and the death of the student.

The case dates back to January 21.
That day, Guillaume T., student, 20 years old, communist activist, posted a message on Twitter publicly denouncing facts of alleged rape, dating from October 2018: “After more than two years, without knowing how to put the words on this that happened to me, I realize that I was raped by Maxime Cochard, counselor for Paris, and his companion in October 2018 when I was only 18 years old and was particularly vulnerable.

In the context of the cases of sexual violence and the hashtag #MeTooGay, the post had bombed the Communist Party and beyond.
Guillaume T.'s tweet sparking hundreds of other messages on sexual violence in gay circles.
Maxime Cochard immediately contested these accusations and launched defamation proceedings through his lawyer, Fanny Colin.
Despite everything, his delegations of elected 14th had been withdrawn by the mayor of the district, Carine Petit (Generation. S), and the Communist Party had forced him to withdraw.
"There is something about the trigger"
This Monday, on France Info, Me Elodie Tuaillon-Hibon declared: “We know very well that things are going very badly at the moment for the students, those who are in their little room at Crous.
The opposing side hit Guillaume with shortened arms in a way that deserves questioning.
For those close to him, it is obvious that there is something of the order of the trigger.

What to react Me Fanny Colin, who regrets that the lawyer of Guillaume T. "castigates the behavior of Maxime Cochard, who was only wrong to defend his innocence".
Me Colin also recalls that his client and his spouse, "whose social and professional lives were pulverized by Guillaume's five tweets", "totally refute" the rape.
And specifies that Guillaume T. not having lodged a complaint after his "media denunciation" on Twitter, the "only legal way for Maxime Cochard to restore his honor" was therefore a defamation procedure.
From this new action of "willful violence resulting in death without intention of giving it", Fanny Colin assures us that Maxime Cochard "waits with confidence to be able to prove his innocence by submitting to justice the documents which establish him".
