Syrian air defense systems have been activated against an Israeli attack in Damascus, the state television network in the country reported last night (Monday).
No further details were given.
Earlier this month, local media in Syria reported that Israeli aircraft attacked targets in the Damascus and Quneitra areas in southern Syria.
According to the official Syrian news agency Sanaa, the air defense systems were activated in response to the attack.
A Syrian military source told the official news agency at the time that Israel had attacked targets in the southern part of the Golan Heights with air-to-surface missiles and surface-to-surface missiles.
The source claimed that the defense systems dropped most of the missiles and that damage was done, but there were no casualties.
